When we talk about abdominal inflammation, it doesn’t necessarily refer to the “chubbiness” because even though you could be fit, you could still have inflammation and don’t have any idea why.
This accumulated fat may be related to the rush way we eat, so take note, because digestion begins in your mouth.
You can look super flat as soon as you wake up, but as the day goes on, we drink water and consume a little salt, the abdomen swells and, if on top of that, we don’t eat properly, I can’t even tell you… And if on top of that bad habit, we add a bad diet with refined flours, processed foods, empty calories, etc … Forget about it. Stop sabotaging yourself!
I get it, we live in a rush world, with a long TO-DO list, and we don’t give our meals time the priority it’s needed when we connect with the positive of 1. Eating, and 2. Doing it healthily to feel better will bring us many other great results.
Some people are intolerant to certain foods and have an immune response to it, but that is another issue far from digestion, since balanced and strict diet conditions this. It often falls in with dairy products, since they cause heaviness, gastric problems, among others, and lead to poor digestion in certain people.
Take a moment to appreciate what you’re about to eat, smell it, take a smalls bites and chew slowly, trying to taste each ingredient on its own. Remember that digestion starts with that first step. You must honor your body and give it what it needs, listen to it and pay attention to what is good for it; when you eat food, notice (like really pay attention) to how you feel after.
If your body consumes too much of a nutrient, it will become intolerant to that, so visit your doctor for advice on your meals so you can digest them easily. Digestion begins in the mouth, don’t forget.
