The 10 Commandments Of Fitness

The mentality of “all or nothing” is the number one mistake I’ve seen many of my clients make when they start in the “fitness world” only to regret it later, which is totally unnecessary if you just listen to your body and open yourself to the possibilities of this lifestyle. 

Doing so will bring out the best version of you. All human beings make mistakes, and there are high and low moments in life, you have to know how to handle it, kind of “putting it on a scale” what you’ve done, what you’re doing, and what you will do.

That’s why I leave you my ten commandments of the fitness, so you can internalize them as you work for your goal. 

  1. There is NO magic pill or supplement! 70% of everything you do is nutrition (abs are made in the kitchen) Supplements promote good habits only. 
  2. Diets don’t work, and there is not a “diet” better than another, each body is different, the best “diet” is one that you can maintain in the long term, make it a lifestyle.
  3. The body does not need “detox diets,” you have organs designed to detoxify daily naturally.
  4. Most of your food should be chewed, not ingested as juices.
  5. Extremes are not good; you must leave room for flexibility, especially if you want to achieve sustainable results. You must understand the energy balance in your body is vital.
  6. Too much of a good thing can turn out to be bad, too much exercise, water, calorie restriction is counterproductive, all in moderation. 
  7. Just because something is processed isn’t bad.
  8.  Do not use the word chemical as a synonym for something harmful; water, for example, is pure chemistry. In the same way that something is organic does not automatically make it fit or healthy. 
  9. There is no one way to exercise; what matters is that you stimulate the muscle mass, increase the heart rate, helping your body composition and health; but it has to be something that you enjoy and look forward to also applies for meals.
  10.  Science is always evolving, discovering new things, which is why is super important to keep updating, what today is a statement, in a few years it will be debated; keep educating yourself

Stop mortifying yourself and better check your belief in the 10 commandments of fitness.
